I met Stephanie and Chris in Jefferson City for their Missouri capitol and Binder Park maternity session!
The moment Stephanie stepped out of the vehicle on the north side of the capitol building, I knew we were going to be creating some beautiful images. Because we work together, Steph and I have been planning her maternity pictures every chance we could get. And now the moment was here where I finally got the opportunity to photograph this beautiful couple!
We started at the Missouri capitol building. I love the backdrop that the limestone marble of the building creates for photos! The maroon of Stephanie’s dress set the stage for a wintery color scheme against the cool white of the majestic building. The white pillars and staircases always creates a sense of nostalgia in me, and I hope that little Kinsley grows up with the same wonder in her eyes that many mid-Missourians feel when they look on our beautiful capitol building.
Next we moved on to Binder Park. The neutral clothing that Chris and Stephanie wore blended perfectly with the tall grasses of the field that we found. It was a bit warmer here, but we snuggled the couple up and had some final, quiet moments between soon-to-be “mommy” and “daddy.”
Stephanie and Chris, it was a pleasure to capture this time in your life! I hope you look back on these photos and remember the excitement, anxiety, and pure joy that you felt in the final few weeks before sweet little Kinsley came into your lives and made you rethink everything you thought you knew about how beautiful life really is.
