Jefferson City Engagement Session | Alyssa and Garrett

We had so much fun during Alyssa and Garrett’s Jefferson City engagement session, searching for pretty flowering trees and open fields! These two have a joy for each other that is infectious. They are so much fun to be around and total naturals in front of the camera! It was an honor to capture these two! Here is how Alyssa felt after their engagement session in her own words:

What I enjoyed about our engagement session was how much fun we had! Amanda did an amazing job at making the experience exciting, and she was creative in making use of the environment in a way that was both enjoyable for us and beautiful for the photos. She kept us engaged (haha, see what I did there) by offering a number of different locations and allowing us to freestyle a lot of our photographs. Amanda made the engagement session such a fun time that Garrett and I both loved

At my initial consultation with Alyssa, we were planning just a few hours of wedding coverage. They have since upgraded to having me there for the entire wedding day, and I am so excited to spend it with them! Like I said, these two are an absolute pleasure to be around and they have the sweetest engagement story! Alyssa tells it best:

The Proposal

Garrett and I had a long distance relationship from when we first met, and Jefferson City had always been the midpoint where we would meet. After a number of events and life changes, we both ended up moving to Jefferson City last summer. The holidays soon were here and Garrett took me out to spend the New Years Eve downtown. We had walked around and looked at all of the sights to see, when Garrett took us to the top of the tallest building downtown (which isn’t too tall since it is Jefferson City!). We looked over the town and talked about how just a few months ago we had been driving to Jefferson City just to see each other once or twice a month. And now we were both here together! Garrett told me how excited he was to begin this new chapter of life with me, then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

Me being born and raised in Jefferson City, their story of this being the city that brought them together really tugged at my heart! It is an absolute pleasure for me to share my beloved city with this adorable, soon-to-be-married couple! Congratulations Alyssa and Garrett! I can’t wait until June!
