A Mauve, Vintage Inspired Intimate Affair at Sorenson Estate
Mauve accents and vintage details came together for this intimate backyard affair at Sorenson Estate featuring sweet treats, antique table settings and the most gorgeous watercolor inspired cake. With custom decorated cookies by Chels the Baker and perfectly poised macarons by Mackenzie’s Blakery, the treats were sure to delight any sweet tooth. The hand painted, water color inspired cake by Austin with Como Classic Pastry was a breathtaking addition to our table setting. Splashes of gold were seen throughout the table scape, with dainty glassware and decor provided by Pretty Little Things vintage rentals.
A floral centerpiece by MU Tiger Garden brought the scene together, as well as the gorgeous bouquet that our “bride” Gabby held. Hints of purple, pink and maroon were scattered throughout the florals, adding a natural accent to Gabby’s hairstyle as well. The stationary provided by Leighwood Design Studio brought the entire scene together with its mauve color palette and whimsical, romantic font. The envelope liner reflected the vintage theme of the day.
Our bride and groom were styled as if out of Bridgerton, with our bride in flowing mauve chiffon and groom in classic suspenders. The soft lace and unique back of her gown added to the romantic vintage feeling of the affair. Her romantic yet subdued makeup and pulled back hair made Gabby look like she walked out of a different decade. Her white bridal gown featured delicate yet intricate beading and a romantic flowing train. The pink floral and beaded heels by Badgley Mischka reflected the same dainty, vintage tea party look.
Sorenson Estate made such a perfect setting, both out front of the large estate and in the intimate, light filled yard. The flowing fields surrounding the estate added to the whimsy of the day and the large drive made for the perfect “getaway” for our bride and groom.
The day could not have turned out more beautiful! Purples and mauves can be gorgeous when executed properly, and I can’t get enough of how romantic the scene was!
