Friendor Friday – A1 Party and Event Rental | Missouri Wedding Rentals
We’re back for another Friendor Friday, this time featuring one of my favorite wedding and event rental companies, A1. A1 has locations in both Columbia and Jefferson City and some of the most gorgeous rentals! Not to mention it’s just a pleasure to walk into their showroom!
Today we’re talking to Brett, one of the go-to ladies that helps run A1 and assist with any sales! Let’s hear what makes her love what she does!
What made you want to join A1?
I have always loved designing and planning events but the rental industry was a totally new concept to me (it seems so silly to me now that I hadn’t thought of rentals before). I toured A-1 when I was an event student at Stephens College and ended up applying afterwards! I love that my position uses both my creative and problem-solving skills. And because no event is the same, every day here is a little different.
What are your favorite things about being a wedding vendor in general?
I love that we get to play a small part in making their wedding dream a reality. Weddings can be stressful so we try and make this process as easy as possible for our customers. What’s cool about being a rental business is that we get to be a part of so many different events and weddings each week.
What do you look forward to the most when meeting a potential client?
I look forward to hearing a client’s vision and then getting to play with our inventory until we find something that they love! We have a lot of experience and knowledge as a team, and we love to help however possible.
What is your favorite part of your process when it comes to the wedding day and planning?
The rental process isn’t always super exciting; from scheduling deliveries to adding basics like tents, tables and chairs to your order, but it’s all essential. My favorite part about the process is picking out the smaller details and things related to the aesthetic. Designing tablescapes is probably what I enjoy the most. The options are endless when it comes to linens, place settings, and centerpieces and can make such a big impact at your event.
What is your favorite item that you provide?
This is a tough one! We have so many great items in our inventory. If I had to choose one though, I’d pick our Concoction Caravan! It’s a cute, vintage-inspired camper bar!
If you could provide your services to any couple, past or present, who would it be?
I’d choose my favorite fictional couple, Schmidt and Cece from New Girl. I just adore them and their love story.
She really got me with that last answer. I miss Schmidt and Cece so much! Don’t you wish you could check in on your favorite fictional characters every once in a while???
