I met up with this sweet family at Binder Park in a field I had scoped out the day before. I knew it would be great for a variety of family shots and allow room for the little ones to roam! We made sure to grab some posed family portraits, and some of each of the kids with mom and dad. The girls loved trekking into the tall grass to take some glowy individual portraits where their true personalities came through! We chased little brother and tried our best to keep him distracted! And of course, I always have to get a few images of mom and dad alone, because they’ve built this tribe and deserve a little break and a special something for them.
More and more I am finding myself loving family sessions! I love meeting mom and dad and watching how they interact with their kiddos. Watching them realize that they don’t have to make the kids stand in one place for their family photos and that they can just relax and have fun is so refreshing to me! At most of my family sessions I’m greeted with a hug by the kids, and at this one in particular I left with some flowers in my pocket that one of the girls just insisted I take! It’s so fun watching the older kids play with the youngest, joining in on Ring Around The Rosie, and grabbing their hand and skipping with them. I just love the images that are captured from a relaxed family session. Of course we make sure to get posed family shots, but the candid images are really what bring a session, and your final gallery, to life!
I loved capturing these moments for you, Candice and Josh! I loved meeting your kiddos and hope you love your images!
xoxo, Amanda
